CSSM day at Camp Timber-lee
Dave Nelson, Deluge Scientist – Speaker & Geology Guide
You and your children / grandchildren are invited for a hands-on presentation about the unique geology of:
Camp Timber-lee N8705 Scout Rd. East Troy, WI 53120
What shaped Wisconsin’s geology? Was it the glaciers or a deluge?
The morning session The case for Deluge in Wisconsin will be followed by the first geology walk, identifying potholes/kettles and observing key details that reveal the evidence for their formation.
The afternoon session Understanding all the possibilities of Water Vortex will be followed by the second geology walk, following the Vortex (kolk) paths to learn just how the terrain was formed.
While the young and the physically able will enjoy hiking and climbing the variable terrain, adults with limited mobility will be doing the 6 days of Creation walk (inside) and spend time in Timber-lee’s Science Center.
Cost of $18.00 includes lunch, snacks, and activities except the Zipline.
Discounted fee $10.00 for additional 18 & under.
Zipline Fee: $6.00 for youth
